Four issues on the same subject, printed a season apart so the paper stock could age alongside the material it documents. We art directed the shoots, set the grid, and specified an uncoated stock that takes ink badly on purpose. The cover carries no title — only the issue number and the month it was pulled from the press.

Kikis is a small studio working across photography, motion and identity. We take on a handful of projects a year so that each one gets the same attention: research, art direction, production, and the long unglamorous stretch where a thing is made to actually work.
